Serving homes and businesses across Western MA and northern CT.
We install, repair, and replace domestic water piping (copper, PEX, CPVC, steel) and sanitary waste and vent lines (PVC, ABS, cast iron) in homes and commercial buildings alike. Our plumbers handle fixture replacement and installation including toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, tubs, garbage disposals, and sump pumps.
For homeowners, that means reliable service for leaky pipes, pipe repair, water heater replacement, bathroom remodels, and kitchen plumbing. For commercial properties, we do restroom build-outs, tenant fit-out plumbing, backflow preventer installation and testing (where licensed), gas piping for boilers and appliances, and code compliance corrections and inspection punch-list work. We also handle commercial kitchen plumbing and equipment connections where within scope.
Water filtration and treatment systems, including whole-house filters, water softeners, and point-of-use filters, are available for both residential and commercial properties.
Our HVAC department handles residential and light commercial air conditioning installation, replacement, and repair. We work with split systems, heat pumps, and rooftop units (RTUs), and offer thermostat and smart control upgrades for homes and businesses. Indoor air quality solutions including filtration and humidification/dehumidification are available where specified.
For homeowners, we install and service central air, ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, and furnaces. Seasonal start-ups, tune-ups, and preventative maintenance plans help extend your equipment’s life and catch problems before they turn expensive.
On construction projects, we provide design-assist support including load review and equipment selection. Sheetmetal and ductwork is outsourced to trusted specialty partners; we coordinate everything so you deal with one team.
We install and replace tank and tankless water heaters (gas and electric) from A.O. Smith, State, Rheem, Bradford White, Navien, and Lochinvar. From family homes to high-capacity apartment building systems, we size every job right and install to code.
Boiler service and replacement for apartments, condos, schools, and municipal buildings is available with Crown, NTI, HTP, and Lochinvar equipment. We also handle boiler-fed domestic hot water systems and mixing valves.
Whole-building water filtration, point-of-use filters, and water softener installation round out our water treatment capabilities for homes and commercial properties.
We perform ground-up plumbing and HVAC for garden-style apartments, townhomes, small multifamily developments, and commercial core/shell buildings. Tenant improvements, commercial restroom renovations, and change-of-use plumbing are all in our wheelhouse.
We work under both plan-and-spec and design-build delivery methods, coordinating with general contractors and other trades including BIM coordination where required. Submittals, close-out documentation, and warranty support are standard.
For municipal and public projects, we’re experienced with prevailing wage requirements, certified payrolls, public bidding processes, and the documentation standards these jobs require.
Year Founded
Kevin Biermann started Biermann Plumbing & Heating in 1983. He built the business the old-fashioned way: sharp workmanship, fair pricing, and handshake relationships that lasted decades. Homeowners, property managers, and general contractors across Western Mass came to trust the name on the truck.
In 2019, Kevin handed the keys to Slav Tsukanov, one of his most trusted employees. Since then, the company has added an HVAC service department, expanded into northern Connecticut, and moved to a bigger shop at 2025 Riverdale Street in West Springfield.
Today we serve homeowners, facility managers, property owners, and general contractors across both states. Residential plumbing and HVAC, ongoing service for apartments and dental offices, ground-up construction, and prevailing wage public work. Every project gets treated like it carries the family name.
Keeping your home or property running safely is our core business. We build long-term relationships, not one-off transactions.
Two trades, one dedicated crew. From an emergency call at your house to a ground-up commercial build, you never juggle multiple contractors.
Four decades of working in active homes, apartment complexes, dental offices, and banks. Clean worksites, low noise, and respect for your space.
Prevailing wage, certified payrolls, public bidding, and strict documentation. Most small shops won't touch public projects. We welcome them.
Clogged drain at home or boiler replacement in a 50-unit complex. Same process, same professionalism, same warranty.
Tell us what's going on. Consultations for service planning are free. For formal project estimates, there's a standard $65 fee.
We look at the problem or walk through your property, evaluate the existing systems, and give you a clear, code-compliant plan with honest pricing.
Our crew completes the job on schedule, keeps a clean worksite, and backs every installation with a 1-year labor warranty. We handle close-out documentation for commercial and municipal projects.
Handling both trades in-house means one invoice, one crew, and systems that work together. No more calling a plumber and then a separate HVAC company.
Owner-involved and Western MA-based means field decisions get made quickly. No corporate phone tree, no 48-hour email back-and-forth. When something breaks, the person who can fix it is on the phone.
Upgrading a water heater in your home, swapping a boiler in an occupied condo, or retrofitting plumbing in a busy dental office all take the same skill set: clean worksites, low noise, and coordinated scheduling.
We regularly complete projects for local municipalities, public schools, and public safety buildings. Certified payrolls, public bidding, and prevailing wage compliance are standard practice here.
